What We Offer

Hatha Yoga

Tracing its origins to the traditional Nath tradition and Patanjali in 2nd century BCE the name hatha signifies union of the solar and lunar channels in the body . This is achieved through emphasis on mindfully cultivating stability and comfort in the postures on the mat while synchronizing the breath with movements.

Pranayama

As humans we are expressions of the universal pranic energy or the prana (life force). However improper lifestyles and unconscious untrained ways of breathing processes hampers our life force and unbalances our body and mind increasing stress , anxiety and fears in our minds . In our course one will learn how to breath properly and to guide and expand prana or life-force in the right way to connect to our higher self.

Meditation

Introduces the practitioner to deeper levels of his or her being and brings calmness to body mind and energy. It improves one’s concentration and inculcates stillness within ones being through moving ones attention from the outer world to inner world. It’s the sixth limb of the eight steps given by the ancient sage Patanjali.

Kriyas

Kriya literally means activities to purify the nine gates of consciousness . as it is clearly explained in hatha yoga that we won’t get any benefits from asana and pranayama without adapting deep physical cleansing in our lifestyle . Kriyas purify our stored old negative patterns that we have been storing in our body like the excellent way of cleansing our nasal passages by activities like “Jalaneti “ .

Bandhas:

Bandhas or locks play an important role in yoga practice by guiding the flow of energy towards the inner channels(nadies) in the body during asana and pranayama practice.

Yoga Nidra

literally means psychic sleep or yogic sleep, it’s the practice of pratyahara where we withdraw our senses towards ourself while keeping awareness of our body, mind and sensory organs. Where now a days we would not have proper sleep because of our stressfull thoughts and are unable to relax even during the sleep. here we emphasose to relax our entire body and mind and energy by connecting to our own stillness inside.

Bhakti yoga (Satsangs)

In bhakti yoga we draw heavily on cultivating and expressing love and devotion for deities in the hindu pantheon . The ecstatic experience of singing, chanting and satsang cultivates an atmosphere for emotional expression and healing while at the same time giving the practitioner an opportunity to set the stage for experiencing the divine within the self.

Raja Yoga Philosophy

While not denying the existence of facts which are difficult to explain through science and gently yet in no uncertain terms telling the superstitious different from existence of a higher being in the clouds the Raja yoga philosophy declares that each man is a conduit of an infinite ocean of knowledge and power and just as the desires and wants are in man so are the infinite magazine of supply from whence they are made manifest.

Ashtanga Yoga

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic, flowing method of yoga that connects the movement of the body with breath, gaze, energy locks and postures. The method stresses the importance of daily practice of a set series of movements. Our guest students will be focusing on the first series while gaining the tools establish a daily practice to progress through the six series at their own pace in their lifelong pursuit of self-actualization.

Mantra yoga

Mantra literally means a force that sets your mind free. When practiced correctly helps to neutralize internal agitations and inertia allowing one to move into a more pure state of consciousness. By mantra yoga we calm the mind and bring focus and clarity, enhancing the physical aspects of yoga, bringing focus and clarity and improving overall health and mental stability .

Art of adjustment and alignment

Precautions and injury prevention:

We base our class on how to protect our joints and muscles during the sometimes tough practice of asana. Learning to perform the asana correctly and align the body according to one’s flexibility with the help of expert guidance and props one slowly but surely goes deeper without the risk of an injury. We focus on dangers encountered on the mat and how to avoid injuries, difficult poses are given their due respect and attention and are handled gently while not overlooking broadening of one’s horizons on the mat.

Yogic Anatomy

Anatomy in a western context is about physicality. But according to yoga, anatomy also includes energy and subtle body systems.as the students delve into the five vital energies , the seven tissues, three fundamental qualities (gunas) and subtle channels (Nadies) , they gain understanding of a deeper level of their existence that grounds their
