Ayuryoga is the fusion between Ayurveda and Yoga. According to these two sciences, the 5 elements are divided into the 3 consititutions, the 3 doshas : vata (motion), pita (energy) and kapha (inertia). In the daily life, we are always dominating one dosha over the others. This dominating dosha creates unbalance of dosas that can cause mental, physical and psychological diseases. Learning about ayuryoga will help you bringing balance in your 5 elements and dosas.
For example, if someone has vata unbalance, one may experience physical, mental and emotional hyperactivity. You will learn how to recommend specific yogic practices according to one’s dosa in order to balance the 5 elements. For vata unbalance, we will suggest asanas, pranayama, mudras etc. with grounding and balancing qualities, to bring back more balance.
